Product Overview
The YBM series prefabricated substations (American-style box-type substations), also known as combined transformers—or commonly referred to as "American box-type substations"—are a new-generation product developed by integrating advanced international design concepts with China’s specific requirements for urban and rural distribution networks. Thanks to their uniquely designed 10kV load transfer switch, plug-in fuses, backup protective fuses, and high-voltage elbow-type cable connectors, the overall structure of the substation has been significantly streamlined, resulting in a remarkably compact footprint. This design flexibility allows the unit to meet the diverse power supply needs of both terminal and ring network configurations. Equipped with dual-fuse protection, these substations feature fuses that exhibit both current- and temperature-sensitive characteristics, dramatically enhancing both the sensitivity and reliability of the protective system. Versatile in application, this product can be installed either outdoors or indoors, making it ideal for a wide range of settings—including apartment complexes, residential gardens, villas, office buildings, residential homes, industrial and mining enterprises, commercial centers, and urban residential communities.

Structural Features
The prefabricated substation is divided into two sections—front and rear. The front section features high- and low-voltage operating bays, which include high- and low-voltage bushings, load switches, tap changers, plug-in fuses, pressure relief valves, oil thermometers, oil level gauges, oil filling ports, and drain valves, among other components.
