The American-style cable distribution box is a widely used power distribution and transmission equipment in North America's electrical distribution systems. It features a unidirectional opening door and horizontally configured multi-path busbars, offering notable advantages such as compact width, flexible configuration, full insulation, and complete sealing. Typically, it is categorized into two types based on rated current: a 630A main circuit and a 200A branch circuit. The 630A main circuit uses screw-in bolts for secure, fixed connections, while the 200A branch circuit employs plug-in connectors that allow live plugging and unplugging—meaning it can be safely disconnected or reconnected under load. Additionally, the cable connectors used in these boxes comply with the IFFF386 standard. This versatile equipment is ideally suited for applications such as urban grid upgrades, residential complexes, commercial centers, and other densely populated urban areas.
