  • Product Overview

The MBS (MNS) system is a product that incorporates manufacturing technology originally developed in Switzerland. It features factory-assembled low-voltage switchgear units, with technical standards compliant with IEC 439-1 and GB 7251.1. As a marine-grade product, it also meets Lloyd’s Register’s maritime standards.

The MBS (MNS) series of low-voltage switchgear includes both fixed and drawer designs, with materials available in either steel-plate or plastic constructions. The latter boasts a technical level that matches the international standards of the 1980s.

The MBS (MNS) system can meet the diverse needs of power supply and distribution, making it widely applicable to distribution systems and intelligent operating platforms in various industrial and mining enterprises, including land-based applications, power plants, nuclear power stations, marine environments, and offshore oil platforms.

    Structural Features

This switchgear cabinet benefits from the introduction of advanced technology from Switzerland's ABB, combined with targeted technical improvements tailored to China's specific needs. The cabinet body is constructed using C-channel profiles—standardized at a 25mm module—to create versatile frame structures and drawer units that meet diverse application requirements. In MCC cabinets, high-strength, flame-retardant engineering plastic components are extensively employed, significantly enhancing safety and reliability. Additionally, redesigned functional panels originally developed abroad are now assembled in 200mm modules, making it easier to integrate PC and MCC cabinets into a single, flexible design. Each drawer unit features a robust interlocking mechanism that prevents operators from pulling the circuit breaker under load while the system remains energized, further boosting safety. Finally, the cabinet is typically fabricated from cold-rolled steel sheets that undergo passivation treatment before assembly; however, aluminum-zinc coated steel sheets can also be used upon request to accommodate varying customer preferences.
